A good nanny is someone who is trustworthy, responsible, caring, and experienced in taking care of children. 
Here are some specific qualities and skills that make a fantastic nanny and that I look for during the hiring process:

1. Love for Children: Have a genuine love and affection for children, and enjoy spending time with them.

2. Responsible: To be responsible and reliable, and take the safety and well-being of the children under their care seriously.

3. Patience: Finding someone who is patient, understanding and able to handle the challenges that come with taking care of children.

4. Communication: Have great communication skills, and be able to communicate effectively with both the children and their parents.

5. Experience: Experience in taking care of children of the age group they are being hired for.

6. Flexibility: Being flexible and willing to adapt to the needs of the family, whether that means working longer hours, taking on additional responsibilities, or adjusting their schedule.

7. Initiative: Be proactive and able to take initiative when it comes to ensuring the children are happy, healthy, and safe.

8 .Trustworthy: Trustworthy, and able to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of the family they work for.

9.Education: Have some level of education or training in childcare, such as CPR and first aid certification, and a degree or certification in early childhood education or a related field can be an added bonus.
